Designing for my community.
As Public Relations Chair and later President of the Bengali Students Association (BSA), I led events ranging from casual socials to cultural celebrations. I also designed the visuals that brought our community together, from event flyers to a redesigned BSA logo.
These designs were made for real people in our community, so they had to feel true to our culture while still making the details easy to find. That was my first taste of designing for people, and it’s a big part of why I care about clear, human-centered design.
I’m still involved in my community today, helping plan events such as picnics and creating art and dances for them. It’s still one of my favorite ways to bring people together. 💃

Painting is where I slow down and let my creativity take over. I love watching a blank canvas come to life. I've also loved how painting gives me the freedom to create without having everything figured out. Sometimes an idea turns into something completely different along the way, and it's taught me to appreciate the little details and see possibilities where there was once nothing.
