I’m so happy to see you here! 💛 My name is Anusha, and I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics at San José State University. I’ve always loved bringing psychology and creativity into technology, which led me to human factors. This is where understanding people and shaping the systems around them go hand in hand. ✨
My love for psychology began with a simple curiosity about the people around me. 🧠 Later, I worked with children and their parents at a coding school, and then supported adults with disabilities as a vocational specialist. In both roles, I saw people face barriers that made simple tasks unnecessarily difficult. Sometimes those experiences left them questioning their own abilities when the real issue was the environment around them.
Seeing that firsthand drew me toward human-computer interaction (HCI). I’m especially excited about AI and autonomous technologies as we figure out how people can work alongside them. 🤖 I’m happy working on my own or alongside others, and I love how much there is to learn from the people around me! 🌱
Life outside the screen.
Away from classes and work, I love spending time with the people closest to me. Some of my favorite memories come from spontaneous adventures and exploring new places together.
I especially love traveling somewhere that feels completely different from home. Visiting Venice, Italy was one of my favorite experiences, and I would love to take a trip to see the turquoise lakes of Banff, Canada in person someday! 🏔️
You can find me dancing or playing Roblox, and I’m always cooking up new recipes in the kitchen. I love making time for the things that bring a little more color into my days! 🎨
